Finally finished my cosplay sweater! (Taken with Instagram)
Well, I still have to weave in the ends, block, and add the buttons. The sleeves are a little shorter than I wanted, but I think they’ll lengthen after I block it. The neck is a little too wide, but I think I’ve figured out a way to fix it.
The sweater it’s based on actually has set-in sleeves, but since I’ve never done those before, and I was completely winging the pattern, I went with a top-down raglan. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out!
Look familiar, Whovians?
I have someone who is interested in a very specific sweater commission, but I don’t have the time right now for such a large-scale project. Does anyone do these types of commissions or are interested in doing one?
Okay, super important question for fellow Whovians/knitters. I want to knit little Amy Pond’s cardigan from the beginning of “The Eleventh Hour.” I’m making my own pattern (for a top-down raglan, because I have no idea how to do set-in sleeves).
Out of the two swatches I knitted, which one is closest to the knit/purl pattern in the screenshots above? The swatch on the left is a 2x2 knit/purl checked pattern, an the swatch on the right is a 3x2 knit/purl checked pattern. (Click the pictures to see the bigger versions. The sweater pattern might be a little hard to see).
So, which swatch is closest to the sweater in the screenshots?
